The Geranium Maverick Violet , 'Pelargonium x hortorum', is a unique variety that offers beautiful violet flowers. The 'Maverick’ series has full flower heads in a mixture of colors including violet. They have zoned foliage on multiple stemmed plants reaching up to 18 inches tall. Geraniums are a favorite bedding and container plant and are grown in almost every region of the country. Over fertilization results in excessive foliage and few flowers. Fertilize lightly every 2 weeks. Pinching of the shoots will promote bushiness.
